THESE dedicated followers of fashion took to the catwalk for their end of year show.

Bolton College staged its annual runway show showcasing the work of its fashion and textile students.

Helen James, art technician, said: “The students were nervous and shaky prior to going on stage but were so pleased they did it, some had never done anything like this before.

“A fashion show like this allow students to experience all the processes from the start right through to the end.”

Students’ creations included a garment depicting Europe during World War One.
Ms James added: “We had last year’s students attend the show as well and it was nice to see them.”

Students also paid attention to make-up and how to present the clothes, working with the performing arts department to on design and production.

The level three students are leaving to go on to university.

Their work is now on display on the ground floor of the college with level one and two work on other floors.

However, some of the level one students’ work was so good that it has been displayed alongside final year students.

Ms James added: “We have described the group of students as our dream students, people we always look forward to working with.”
