CYCLISTS of all ages got on their bikes to take part in this year’s National Bike Week.
About 60 people turned up in Victoria Square to take part in a five-mile bike ride along the Middlebrook Valley Trail to Bolton Arena. The ride was guided by members of Lancashire Road Club, from Coppull, near Adlington.
Bike Week, which runs until tomorrow, is the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK and Bolton Council organised the event for families to mark the occasion.
Continuing with the events for National Bike Week, a free forest trail for mountain bikes will be set up in Victoria Square today for anyone to take part between 10am and 4pm.
