IT was handmade heaven at a craft and gift market in Horwich.
Crafty sorts took to Horwich RMI in Ramsbottom Road to flog their wares.
Mum and daughter team Sue Clarke and Helen Clarke-Davison were exhibiting the handmade dresses they have been selling for 18 months.
The pair’s business idea was born after five-year-old daughter Emily wanted a Frozen dress which lasted more than a few weeks.
Sue, aged 69, said: “We started making princess dresses but now also make dresses for confirmations and weddings.
“The dresses take a couple of hours to make but the decoration takes much longer.
“We have already started planning for Christmas. We were so busy last Christmas because they make such good presents.”
It was checkmate for Denis Eaton, who was attending his first craft fair as an exhibitor.
Mr Eaton, who lives in Horwich but is originally from Chorlton-cum-Hardy, creates chess pieces using a scroll saw after seeing someone demonstrate one at another craft fair.
He said: “I started doing this last October as a retirement hobby.”
Emily Grey, aged 11, from Waterfoot, was helping mum Maxine Grey run her handmade bath bomb stall ‘Smellies’ and enjoyed the Frozen-themed clocks on offer at a neighbouring stall.
