ANTI-fracking demonstrators protested in Horwich on Saturday, September 19.
Campiagn Group, Horwich and Blackrod against Fracking, led protests against the Government’s decision to offer a license for exploratory drilling to take place in Horwich, Blackrod, Rivington and Belmont.
The group gathered outside Horwich town hall to voice their opposition to the controversial method of extracting shale gas, which involves drilling underground before using high pressure jets to blast away rock and access gas reserves.
