Investigation launched after fire leaves elderly man with burns to hands (Image: Contributed)
AN elderly man was treated for burns to his hands after a fire in a Horwich bungalow last night.
Three fire crews from Horwich and Bolton Central attended the incident in Glabyn Avenue at around 2am, after the curtains and blinds in the house's bedroom caught fire.
Police and the fire service will be conducting an investigation this morning to determine the cause of the blaze, which is currently unconfirmed.
The 71-year-old man suffered burns to his hands, while a 53-year-old woman was treated for smoke inhalation.
