IT was certainly a Christmas sight to behold — Santas Clauses and reindeers running through Horwich with their elves and other festive creatures.
The town staged its second Santa Dash to spread some seasonal cheer as they ran a four mile course, starting from Curley's Dining Rooms and Fisheries.
And this year, more than 100 people, some keen runners, others who wanted to enjoy a bit of Christmas fun, took part.
The weather stayed dry and mild for the runners but rainfall previously left the course a little boggy in parts.
The event was organised by Horwich-based Mad Bull Events.
Stewart Jones, who co-ordinated the event, said: "The Santa Dash was organised as a bit of festive fun.
"Those taking part looked absolutely fantastic, and there was a prize for the best fancy dress."
He added: "I would take part if there was anyone else who could organise it."
The run will be back next year to spread some festive cheer.
Winning male was Nick Leigh from Horwich RMI Harriers, winning female was Sandra Kelly (pictured below) also from Horwich RMI Harriers and the winner of the fancy dress prize was Justine Barrowclough.
