BLACK Friday is almost upon us - but what are the deals worth bothering with this year?
The craze originates from the United States and sees retailers vying for our attention and, more importantly, our money.
Unofficially kicking off the Christmas shopping season, Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the US and sales have boomed in recent years.
As a number of retailers prepare, ASDA - one of the first UK retailers to bring it to the UK - has once again decided to steer clear of Black Friday following chaotic scenes in 2014.
Bolton’s Morrisons, however, has taken a more hands-on approach as they have hired an in-store ‘strongperson’ to help customers carry their shopping to their cars.
The superstore has also created ‘Black Five Days’ where they offer customers all the delight of Friday throughout the week.
See below for the deals.
In the town centre, Paula Wood, Crompton Place Centre Manager, said: “We’re really excited about all the amazing offers for this year’s Black Friday.
“As its popularity has grown, so has the buzz in the centre in the lead-up to the day.
“We already know of a bunch of incredible offers, whilst some of our retailers have said their Black Friday deals are so exciting that they will not even be revealed until the day.”
Crompton Place is offering discounts throughout the shopping centre.
Huri’s Lash and Brow Bar are offering Eyebrow Shape and Tint plus Eyelash Tint for £16 from £22 and Capelli Remi are offering any piercing for just £10.
There will also be 70% off 100s of lines at Blue Inc.
While other stores in Bolton are open as usual, Tesco Middlebrook will be closing at midnight on Thursday and then reopening at 5am for Black Friday. The retailer plans on announcing incredible deals on arrival.
Tesco Walkden will also be reopening at 5am.
They are not the only store announcing great savings on Friday morning though – Sainsbury's, Toys ‘R’ Us, Argos, River Island, Zara and H&M all look set to.
Game will be kicking off Black Friday on Thursday evening with stores including the Victoria Square branch opening at 8pm.
