A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the face.
The incident happened at a house in St Catherines Court in Horwich just before 5pm today.
It is understood it happened during an altercation between two teenagers.
A resident said he came home from work to see police cars outside.
He said: “I have been trying to find out myself what’s been happening. We don’t really know them as they keep themselves to themselves.”
Another resident said: “We saw a police car in the street and didn’t know what was going on.”
Police officers and the ambulance service were called to the incident.
A police spokesman said the boy had been injured in the hand, leg and face.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, as he was speaking to paramedics at the scene.
