THREE burglaries have been reported at houses in Horwich.

In the first, a burglar was disturbed while attempting to steal from a property in Beatrice Mews.

The intruder smashed the front kitchen window at around 3.20am on Saturday, May 27 and escaped through a rear window when disturbed.

The second house was broken into between 7.30pm and 11.45pm on the same day and the burglar gained entry by kicking in the front door.

Car keys were stolen and used to take a vehicle.

The third property broken into was in Ox Hay Lane and was targeted on Thursday, June 1.

The burglar gained entry into the property between 7.30am and 6pm by climbing onto wheelie bins and getting in through a ground floor bedroom window. They smashed a window and reached inside opening a latch to gain entry. Three laptops, three cameras and three watches were stolen. It is not known if the burglaries are linked and anyone with information can contact police on 101.
