A CAR was stolen from outside a house in Horwich.
Two men approached the front door of a house in Holmebrook Drive and attempted to force entry between 5.40am and 6am on Friday, August 25
When they were unsuccessful they went to the side of the property and forced a window open.
One of the men reached inside to grab a door key from a worktop to unlock a side door and they took a bunch of keys from the kitchen and removed a vehicle key.
They then used the key to steal a vehicle from outside the property.
People are reminded to make sure they do not leave keys in the door or in hallways where it is easy for someone to take them.
