THE plan for the first 112 homes at the Horwich Loco Works will be going to committee in November.
Bellway Homes submitted the application to Bolton Council in July after the full 1,700-home Rivington Chase scheme was given the green light last year.
But Horwich councillors and residents objected to the plans, raising concerns about issues including contamination on the site and the lack of a site-wide masterplan.

It was due to be decided by Bolton Council's planning office under delegated powers but it is now due to go before the planning committee on November 16.
