A FOOTBALL-mad groom had second thoughts about leaving his new wife for a second love on Saturday.
Immediately after saying his wedding vows on Saturday, Joseph McLoughlin was planning to swap the wedding aisle for the Macron Stadium, after winning four tickets to sit in the ground’s new luxury recliner seats.
He only found out about the tickets 24 hours before the wedding at Mere Hall, but bride-to-be Kathleen Shaw had given her blessing to the last minute changes to their big day plans.
However, the 32-year-old, from Breightmet, had a change of heart after saying ‘I do’ , and opted to miss the Whites’ 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers.
The couple, who have three children, have been together for five years.
After the wedding ceremony, family and friends continued the celebrations at the Mosley Arms pub, in Breightmet.
