FIRE: Poplar Avenue, Horwich
A FLAT was ‘seriously damaged’ after a fire broke out in the kitchen area.
Firefighters were called to the first floor property, in Poplar Avenue, Horwich at about 5pm today.
The occupant discovered the kitchen ablaze but was able to escape from the address unharmed and called the fire service.
Firefighters said the flat had sustained ‘serious fire damage’ during the blaze.
Two crews were dispatched to the incident.
