A FORMER parish hall and social club is expected to be demolished in the new year.
The Diocese of Salford has issued notice that it wants to tear down St Mary’s Parish Hall and Club, in Horwich, in January.
It says that, since the disused Bosworth Street site’s closure in 2015, it has become a target for vandalism.
The church, in Chorley New Road, dates back to the 1860s but the former community centre, at the back of the church, was built in the middle of the 20th century.
