A 26-year-old woman has today been jailed for four years for manslaughter after killing her boyfriend at their home in Audenshaw.
Amanda O'Leary of Edward Street in Audenshaw stabbed 33-year-old Wayne Lawrence in the stomach on October 6.
O'Leary and Wayne had lived together for several years but the relationship had become strained following the death of their five-month-old baby boy in June, 2006.

Police were called to the couple's home on Edward Street, Audenshaw following a phone call from O'Leary saying she suspected her partner had been stabbed.
When officers arrived at the scene Wayne was lying on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to his stomach.
There were clear signs of a disturbance with broken crockery all over the floor and a large kitchen knife was found near the bottom of the stairs.
O'Leary was arrested and Wayne was rushed to hospital but died as a result of a single stab wound, which was so deep it penetrated his bowels.
Senior investigating officer Vinny Chadwick said: 'We may never know for sure what happened in the house that night and why O'Leary stabbed Wayne. His death is the second tragic loss his family have had to deal with in a short space of time and our thoughts remain with them.'
