A 27-year-old cyclist has suffered serious injuries after a collision in Cheetham Hill.
The cyclist was in collision with a red Renault Megane at the junction of Elizabeth Street and Waterloo Road at 6pm last night.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Hope Hospital where he is described as being in a "serious, but stable" condition.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Elizabeth Street and Waterloo Road were closed for a short time but have since reopened.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Area 2 Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 3572.
