Man on Manchester murder conspiracy charge

A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit the murders of Tyrone Gilbert and Ucal Chin.

The 32-year-old man was arrested today and remains in police custody for questioning. He was also arrested on suspicion of the murder of Tyrone Gilbert.

At about midnight on July 27 last year, Tyrone Gilbert was shot and killed while attending the wake of Ucal Chin at Frobisher Close, Longsight.

Ucal Chin was shot dead at 6.50pm on June 15 near the junction of Dickenson Road and Denison Road, Longsight.

Several people have already been charged with various offences in connection with the ongoing investigation into both murders.

A trial is due to start in October.
