Two cast members of Coronation Street are set to perish when the Rovers Return becomes a blazing inferno.

Sunita Alahan, actress Shobna Gulati, will be one of those to die when the country's famous pub goes up in smoke.

Landlady Stella Price, played by Michelle Collins, is also trapped but Corrie bosses will not say who the second character to die will be.

Tragedy will strike on the cobbles on March 18 after Stella's  jealous ex, Karl Munro, is said to set the pub on fire.

The blaze will destroy the pub.

ITV Granada is currently in the process of moving from its famous HQ in Quay Street, Manchester, to land on the edge of Salford Quays.

The Coronation Street set will be rebuilt there with no decision yet made about the current street.

It is believed that the Museum of Science and Industryis interested in taking over the existing set as a tourist attraction.

The new set is already half-built and not as your paper says will be built!

Decision already been made in that the whole area that ITV Granada occupied has been sold to a development property and that inlcudes teh Coronation Street et - another fact that is easily available! MOSI decided not to go for the set and people who tried to make it a listed "property" failed as that current set is less than 25 years old!!!

Only Coronation Street and Granada Reports are filmed at Quay Street - and GR moves at the end of the month with Corrie in August/September!!!
