Energy deals on offer again

PEOPLE who missed out on the chance to take their share of a £3 million energy savings scheme are being given another opportunity to get a better deal.
More than 35,000 people signed up to the Greater Manchester Fair Energy scheme when it was launched in January — more applicants than any other energy switching project of its kind in the country — and offers have been sent out to residents over the last few weeks.
Some people saved up to £900 on their energy bills and those who missed out in the first round will have a second chance, with the scheme opening again for registrations.
Anyone interested is being urged to register by visiting gmfairenergy.
com or calling 0800 009 3363 by April 8. Sign-up sessions will also take place on March 18, 9.30am until 12.30pm, at the Halliwell UCAN centre; March 19 to March 22, from 10am until 4.30pm at the One Stop Shop in Bolton Town Hall; March 22, from 10am until 12.30pm at Great Lever UCAN; March 22, from 1pm to 4pm, at Farnworth UCAN; March 27 and March 28, from 10am to 4.30pm at the One Stop Shop; March 28, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, at Great Lever UCAN; and April 2, from 10am to 4pm, at the One Stop Shop.
Those who register for the scheme, led by Greater Manchester’s councils, will be placed in a “reverse auction” and will be offered energy deals which they can accept or reject.
