FIREFIGHTERS are calling for youngsters to stop playing in a dangerous mill.
Crews were called to the Howe Bridge Spinning mill in Atherton, at about 7pm on Tuesday after a passer-by thought that youths had started a fire in the derelict building.
There was no fire but crews did find young people playing in what they have described as “potentially very dangerous surroundings.”
Watch manager Simon Wood said: “We just want to warn the young people and their parents of the dangers of hanging around in a building like this.
“If they were to fall and hurt themselves then no one would know and they could be in real trouble.”
