A SHOPLIFTER who stole a leg of lamb from a supermarket has appeared before Bolton magistrates.
James Taggart, aged 30, of Mersey Bank Road, Hadfield, Glossop, pleaded guilty to taking the meat, worth £12, from Tesco on July 17.
Magistrates ordered that he was detained until the end of the court day. He must also pay £85 prosecution costs.
