A MAN who threatened a doctor at a Farnworth Medical Centre has been given a suspended jail term.
James Heaton, aged 57, of Lightwood Close, Farnworth, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on May 23 at the medical centre in Piggott Street, Farnworth. The defendant had been drinking when he threatened Dr Shiva Chorra. He was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates Court to a six-week jail term suspended for 12 weeks and ordered to comply with an alcohol treatment requirement, pay £150 compensation and £80 court costs.
