A GROUP dedicated to preserving the historical significance of Horwich is running a family history course, starting near the end of the month.
Horwich Heritage Centre starts the 10-week course on Monday, September 29, at its headquarters next to the Resource Centre in Beaumont Road.
Courses run from 11am to 12.30pm and from 7pm to 8.30pm and it costs £20 to attend.
Organisers say it will be ideal for beginners, or anyone researching their family history – and not necessarily families in Horwich. It will also cover the use of computers and the internet, including the ancestry website.
