A WESTHOUGHTON man has been jailed for five months for twice assaulting a woman.
Simon Hickey, aged 32, admitting both assaults, which took place on October 2 and 3, when he appeared before magistrates on October 6.
Hickey, of Drake Hall, also pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage in relation to the vandalism of some wardrobe doors belonging to the woman he assaulted.
Hickey received two months imprisonment for each assault, and one month for criminal damage, with all terms to be served consecutively.
