BOLTON actress Maxine Peake has written and stars in an afternoon radio play to be aired tomorrow (FRI).
My Dad Keith — a tale of teenage angst, mid-life crisis and drumming — will be on BBC Radio 4 at 2.15pm and debuts Mike Joyce, the drummer from The Smiths, in his first acting role.
Reaching her 40th birthday and with her granddad in hospital, Steph — played by Maxine — begins to reflect on her life and loves.
The play also features Bolton actor Roger Morlidge as Granddad, Prestwich actress Rebecca Ryan as Young Steph and Leigh actress Rachel Austin as Lily.
