THE second series of award-winning murder mystery Broadchurch returns next month, starring Lostock actor Andrew Buchan.
Written by Chris Chibnall and also starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman, it will launch on ITV1 at 9pm on Monday, January 5.
The last series of Broadchurch, which screened in 2013, followed Alec and Ellie investigating the murder of a young boy in a Dorset coastal town.
Joining them again for series two will be Jodie Whittaker and former Rivington and Blackrod High School pupil Andrew, who played the victim’s parents, and Arthur Darvill who played the town’s reverend.
New cast for the second series include Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Meera Syal, Eve Myles and James D’Arcy.
