CONSENT has been granted for a tree to be chopped down in Heaton.
An application was sent in to Bolton Council’s planning department by a resident in Ravenhurst Drive, asking for permission to fell a Horse Chestnut Tree in the applicant’s garden.
The planning department has now given the resident permission to carry out the work after consulting with a council tree and woodland officer.
The officer stated that the tree felling would be considered “good arboricultural practice” and would not have a “detrimental impact on the amenity and character of the area.”
The planning department has also recommended that a replacement Horse Chestnut tree be planted further away from the property.
