A BOLTON hotel is feeling the festive spirit thanks to a little help from children in the community.

Pupils from primary schools across Bolton have picked up their pens to get involved in Bolton Whites Hotel's Christmas colouring competition.

Each child was encouraged to spread the festive cheer and creatively design a Christmas bauble, with schools including Walmsley Church of England School in Egerton taking part.

Jenny Brookes, year three teacher at Walmsley Church of England School, said: "This is a great opportunity for the children to get really creative and also excited about the approaching holidays.

"Colouring is a fantastic way for children to express themselves and we really appreciate Bolton Whites Hotel reaching out and encouraging the local community to get involved with its Christmas."

Other children are being invited to create their own designs and a winner will be chosen by a team from the hotel to win prizes including enjoying a Bolton Wanderers home game in an executive box.

The full range of Christmas baubles will be available for people to view in the reception area of Bolton Whites Hotel until New Year's Eve, when the hotel will host the Whites Golden Ticket New Year's Eve family night with a Willy Wonka-themed evening.
