PETROL station bosses are seeking permission to open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Little Lever Filling Station in Church Street is currently only allowed to open from 6am until 11pm, but wants to become a 24-hour operation.

The application has attracted criticism from residents nearby, who have written to the council to say unlimited opening hours would set a "dangerous precedent" for other businesses in the area.

Officers are recommending that councillors approve the application at Thursday’s meeting of the planning committee, which is held at Bolton Town Hall.
