A MOTORIST who drove his van while under the influence of drugs last August has been disqualified.

Mohammed Nadim, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit van in Weston Street, near his home in Alfred Street, Burnden, on August 31 while unfit to drive.

On Friday (February 20), Magistrates at Bolton Magistrates’ Court ordered the 43-year-old to pay costs of £200 and a victim surcharge of £20.

He was also fined £200 and disqualified from driving for 18 months. Nadim had previously pleaded not guilty, but changed his plea at the hearing on Friday.
