AN MP is pledging his support to a group helping women in Accrington.
Hyndburn MP Graham Jones is helping to raise awareness of the Women’s Centre, in Blackburn Road, and has donated £100 to the group.
The centre offers personal development courses, and counselling, to women in the area, and also delivers employment support, and life skills training, to make work more accessible.
Mr Jones said: “It is a very worthwhile cause. The centre offers a range of services which help all women to get the best out of life for themselves and their families.”
The centre provides an advisory service, and professional women-only environment, between 10am and 3pm. Whatever their needs, women can drop in, or telephone, during these opening times to speak to a member of the team.
