Man and boy in court after Leigh newsagent robbed

A 24 year-old Leigh man and a 15-year-old boy accused of robbing a newsagent’s shop in Leigh appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today.

24-year-old Sean Ansbro and the juvenile, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, both pleaded guilty to robbing Mohammed Bedar of cigarettes and cash at Pennington Newsagents on December 30.

Ansbro, of Deepdale, Leigh, was further remanded in custody until February 1 for sentence and the boy was remanded until the same date on bail.
