Asda staff enjoy their special party
THE 38 staff who have been at Asda Leigh since it opened 18 years ago have been treated to a coming-of-age party.
With a total of 684 years between them they enjoyed a lunch reception with a special cake, balloons and nibbles as they swapped checkout tales.
One of them, Julie Abbott, said: “It was great to be able to thank the people who have made my time here so happy and share some memories.
Store manager Martin Flower added: “It is a testimony to the community spirit in Leigh that so many colleagues have stayed loyal to the store here since 1994.”
