Keys to Accrington's new studio school handed over to staff

THE keys to a new studio school in Accrington have been handed over to staff.
Headteacher Hilary McGonagle has received the keys to The Studio, formerly known as Hyndburn Studio School, based at the Waterside, St James’ Court, Accrington.
She said: “We are very excited to take possession of the new building and I know it’s going to be a facility which makes an impact on the students and the area.
“We’re looking forward to opening the school to our pupils and our new learners who will be joining us in September.”
The school, for pupils aged 14 to 16-year-olds will offer students a paid work experience learning environment for a mix of national curriculum, work experience and vocational study in creative and commercial areas.
The Studio will be having an open day on Saturday from noon.
