Two men charged over Hindley stabbing

TWO people have been charged after a man was stabbed in Hindley.

They will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court today, Thursday.
The 59-year-old victim was stabbed 13 times outside his relative's home at 9.55am on Sunday, February 17, after being confronted by two men.
They demanded the keys to his C220 Mercedes and then stabbed him, leaving him with serious injuries to his arms and face.
He is continuing to make good progress as he recovers in hospital.
Det Insp Graham Atherton said: "Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, we have now charged two individuals.
"I know people in the community will continue to have questions but it is important we let the legal process take its natural course and not speculate.
"What I would say is that we are continuing to appeal to anyone with information about this attack to come forward, and we have not ruled out making further arrests of those who may have been involved in any aspect of this investigation.
"The family of the victim would like to thank the community for their help and support."
