A TEAM of underwater divers is inviting newcomers to take the plunge.
The Howe Bridge Leisure Centre-based SuB-C-Divers have organised a try dive night, from 8pm on March 13, when qualified divers and instructors will be on hand to teach scuba diving.
The club was formed more than 30 years ago and has its own rigid inflatable boat.
Once trained, newly qualified divers can join other divers on club trips both home and abroad.
Members join in regular organised events at Capenwray, Carnforth, Eccleston Delph, Chorley and Stoney Cove in Leicestershire.
Sub C Divers is the longest established club in the Leigh area. Try dive sessions cost £10 per person inclusive of all equipment and instruction, refundable to anyone who joins.
Divers must be at least 12 and those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
