HUNDREDS of scooter enthusiasts will gather in Lowton for a rally and run that will put a smile on the faces of poorly children.

Saturday will mark the 27th annual Ginger's Egg Run to The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital organised by Leigh scooterist and Bolton Spartans clubman Kevin 'Ginger' Lawton.

Riders from throughout Great Britain will gather at Lowton Civic Hall from tomorrow (Friday) and ride in convoy to the hospital at noon on Saturday delivering Easter eggs to young patients at RMCH where they will stage a custom show in the hospital grounds.

The fun begins at 6pm on Friday at Lowton with music and a DJ until 1am, with a Saturday evening show from 7.30pm-1.30am featuring Northern Soul and a DJ.
