Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy at Mayor of Wigan's prayer breakfast

LEIGH Councillor and Mayor of Wigan Myra Whiteside will host a prayer breakfast tomorrow, Thursday, at Wigan Town Hall.

She said of the third such event to be held in the borough: “It is an excellent opportunity for councillors, business leaders and representatives from a range of Wigan-based organisations to meet up and be inspired by our guest speaker. This year I am delighted to be welcoming Sir Pater Fahy, Chief Constable of Greater Manchester, who received a knighthood in the Queen's 2012 Birthday Honours List, for his services to policing.

“Hearing what motivates him and why he does what he does will give others insight and lead to discussion and debate. I hope people will then take ideas, and perhaps even new ways of thinking, back to their own organisations and communities.

The event opens for registration at 7.30am and runs from 8am until 9.30am.
