CCTV Appeal
A CCTV image has been issued of a man police want to speak to in connection with a petrol station drive-off.
Three men in a blue Ford Mondeo drove into the Murco garage, in Hyndburn Road, Accrington, and filled up with £74 worth of diesel.
They were challenged by staff, and became verbally abusive to the staff member, before driving away when asked for payment.
As the men then attempted to leave without paying, they briefly hit the member of staff with their car as he tried to stop them driving away around 11am, on March 11. He was not seriously injured. A police spokesman said: “The car was bearing false plates, and I appeal to anybody who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward and contact police.”
All three men are described as Asian, around 25 to 35 years old.
The first man had a beard and a moustache and was wearing a black hat with a rim, black jacket and black jeans.
The second man was described as bald, with a large build, whilst the third man was said to be slim and wearing a black beanie hat.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
