Atherton lighting specialists take on more staff as output doubles

A RAPIDLY expanding Atherton company has just appointed seven new members of staff.
Award-winning LED lighting manufacturer, MHA Lighting, has welcomed on board an Operations Director, Field Sales Manager and five new production staff.
Ian Kane has taken on the role of Operations Director and will be looking after manufacturing, procurement, inventory, supply chain and quality in addition to technical functions ranging from product design and development, industrial and production engineering.
He has over 30 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing for companies including Philips Lighting, Rolls Royce, MPE Ltd and Edbro Plc.
Ian said, “I am delighted to be joining MHA Lighting during this intense period of growth. “I have gained a talented team of committed people and am looking forward to working closely with them to ensure they achieve the success they deserve. This is a really busy and exciting time for MHA and I'm thrilled at the prospect of helping take the company to the next level.”
The sales team has been strengthened with the addition of Field Sales Manager Leah Hartley who has over six years’ experience with ACDC lighting, both nationally and internationally.
Excited about her new role Leah said: “I am delighted to be joining MHA Lighting at such an exciting time of expansion. The technology, performance and reliability of the product is far superior to anything else I have seen on the lighting market.
“With further development happening all the time, the future looks very promising.”
Having taken on board five new five new operatives MHA has opened a second production line, doubling their output capacity to cope with a growing order book.
MHA Lighting MD Tom Harrison, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ian, Leah and the new production operatives to MHA Lighting’s every growing family.
“Leah has already made a real impact. Her knowledge, skills and contacts throughout Europe, the Middle East and USA will prove invaluable.”
MHA Lighting now employs over 40 people at the company’s headquarters in Atherton, Greater Manchester. The company has also set up a permanent base in Brisbane, Australia, to help develop the market for their unique lighting technology Down Under.
