A LITTLE theatre enjoyed a very successful night at an annual awards ceremony.
Tyldesley Little Theatre took home four runner-up awards and one prestigious win at the Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies annual awards dinner.
Joyce Elder received recognition for her first effort at directing.
Her comedy production A Night on the Tiles was judged to be one of the best three comedy productions from the Bolton area.
Ian Taylor’s productions also fared well.
Mother Goose nominated as best pantomime and Flamingoland as best drama and for which Joan Rogers received a best actress in a drama runner-up award for her performance as a dying mother.
TLT’s character actress Winnie Beatty was the outright winner of best actress in a comedy for her role in A Night on the Tiles.
Meanwhile chairman Jenny Whur collected the best newcomer runner-up award for her Night on the Tiles co-star David Julien.
Buoyed by their success, TLT are now working hard on Humble Boy, the opening show of their new season.
