TEA, cake and a special gig marked the first birthday of the Cadence Café at the weekend.
The community café in Tyldesley invited guests for afternoon tea and some acoustic music on Friday.
Volunteers at the cafe gave speeches about the importance of Cadence to the area and to the early stages of their careers.
Cadence creator and director Ian Jackson said: “We have had a great first year here at Cadence Café and we were very proud to be able to celebrate with all of the people who have helped us out along the way.
“A lot of hard work has gone into the cafe and it makes me happy to see people coming here to share in the celebration.”
Saturday night saw performances from Noire and The Ninth Watch followed by headliners The Kill Van Kulls who were fresh out of the studio with a couple of new songs to play.
The night ended with The Kill Van Kulls encouraging the audience to sing Happy Birthday to the café.
“I can’t wait to see what we do next year. If this first year is anything to go by then you should expect big things from Cadence Café,” said Ian.
