THE work of 10 emerging artists has gone on display at a pop-up exhibition in Leigh.

A temporary unused shop space at 14 Bradshawgate is now the home of an exhibition that includes paintings, prints, photography, mixed media and sound.

The artists are all Leigh or Wigan based and have been producing work in the large first floor office space above the shop which has been repurposed as an artists’ project and work space.

Gabrielle Anderson is one of the exhibiting artists from Leigh.

She said: “Exhibition opportunities around here are scarce. I curated the exhibition, so I have been arranging everything and delegating to everyone.

“It has been a learning curve for all of us and experience like this makes it easier to get into other shows and organise your own exhibitions.”

The gallery will be open as often as possible and if it is closed, there will be a number on the door to contact the artists working upstairs.
