Opinions wanted on services for disabled young people

THE families of people with disabilities are being asked for their opinion on services in the borough.
A parent participation group has organised UP, an event at Peters Pavillion in Hindley on October 1 so that more families can have the opportunity to join in and have their voice heard.
It is open to families of children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs from 0-25 years and has been designed by families because they believe that together they can make a difference.
Lisa Aldred, mum of Rachel aged 12, said: “It is really important people come along and say what is important to them, especially now, as councils across the country are trying to decide what they should spend their money on. We need to come together and say what works or we might lose the essential support our children need.”
