A GRANT has been awarded to Leigh Community Trust for a project that hopes to reduce youth unemployment.
The charity partner of Leigh Sports Village will launch a New Skills Programme to help increase the employability of 14-19-year-olds with the £274,519 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
Trust manager Hannah Forbes said: “To say we are delighted with being awarded the funding from the Big Lottery Fund would be a huge understatement.
“Receiving this grant is a testament to all the trust’s hard work over the last two years and will allow it to continue to deliver in the much needed innovative employment and training programmes to the hard to engage young people in the area”.
