A FESTIVE craft day saw Christmas arrive at St John’s C of E Infant School.

Pupils and their families enjoyed a day of creative crafts, a chocolate fondue, a chocolate tombola, a year two enterprise stall, cakes and a visit from Father Christmas at the Leigh school on Friday.

Head teacher Emma Lightfoot said: "Days like these are so important as they enable our families to come and share together in the joys of crafty fun with their children, with the added bonus, they don't need to clean up the mess afterwards.

“It is a magical way for our staff, children, parents, siblings and grandparents to join together and participate in new and memorable experiences. We run these events at Easter and Christmas and they are always extremely well attended which is fantastic. We wish our St John's families and everyone in our town of Leigh a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.”
