A FURRY friend hopped into Leigh Library to provide a helping paw to a Christmas crafts session.
Peter Rabbit offered his expertise to help children make and colour festive tree decorations that were shaped like the Beatrix Potter favourite and he settled down listen to stories with them.
More than 300 people from families to nursery and school classes attended the event to play games with Peter.
A WLCT spokesman, who organised the event, said: “Our staff made the grotto, which included trees and snow. Peter Rabbit came courtesy of Rainbow Productions in London. It was a fantastic costume and the day was full of magic for the children who attended.”
