A MAN who was shot through the spy hole of his front door has not yet recovered the sight in his eye.

He has been discharged from hospital but is attending regular checkups to see what can be done to recover the vision in his left eye.

The 28-year-old was at his home on Westbourne Avenue in Leigh when he heard his dog barking and went to the front door when he was shot through the spy hole.

He was taken to hospital and a pellet, believed to be from an air gun, was removed from his left eye just after 3pm on December 6.

Police are still appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call 0161 856 7225.
