A MUSICIAN whose music is described as ‘bittersweet, cinematic and memorable’ is to perform at The Lowry.
Singer songwriter Chris Flynn will perform his new album accompanied by guest musicians on April 18 at 8pm, following a year of sell-out gigs and acclaimed performances.
As well as touring his new solo material in 2013, Chris has appeared as a special guest for artists such as Grammy nominee John Fullbright.
He is also involved in a number of songwriting collaborations with a variety of artists, including Julianne Regan, the vocalist for former rock/pop band All About Eve.
He takes inspiration from kitchen-sink playwrights and musicians such as Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and The Smiths, while his single Pandora, released earlier this year was recorded at the legendary Blueprint Studios.
It is due for release on February 1 and is accompanied by a music video, starring Maxine Peake in the role of Pandora.
Tickets are £8 or £6.50 for concessions and can be booked by calling 0843208 6010 or visiting www.thelowry/com/chrisflynn.
