A SERIES of free events are to celebrate the diverse wildlife in Atherton.
Friends of Atherton Wildlife and Nature (FAWN) will be holding walks and talks throughout the year in association with Greater Manchester Local Record Centre’s From Grey to Green project, set up to encourage and train people to identify and record wildlife.
The events will be held on the last Saturday of every month at Atherton Meadows, starting with a Birds & Biodiversity walk on January 25 from 1pm.
The group will meet at the corner of Bee Fold Lane and Hope Fold Avenue and appropriate clothing - including wellies - is required.
Contact Angela on 07766271314, email ambbuk@yahoo.co.uk or message on FAWN's Facebook page to register your interest.
